Al San Michele is right in the heart of Stresa, the pearl of Lake Maggiore, in a very quiet area, at the beginning of a little road by the church of San Michele and a short distance on foot from the beaches, shops, restaurants and the boat station from where boats depart to visit the famous Borromean Islands.
A nice walk brings you to the Villa Pallavicino which is surrounded by a magnificent park with many animals.
The surroundings offer also some routes for bike lovers and footpaths for pleasant excursions.
Also the wonderful background of the mountains is easily reachable.
The guesthouse is an old building remodernised that cannot offer space for children and the disabled persons.
Unfortunately it is not possible to accept pets.
The guesthouse has no private parking facilities, but we are situated a few meters from the lakeside where there are parking places both free and on payment.
The guests who wish to arrive by bicycle, it is not permitted to bring them in the rooms. However, if you book rooms nr. 1 or 2 these provide space to keep the bicycle. You are asked to mention this request at the moment of booking.

How to reach us
Al San Michele is easily reachable both by car with motorway (A26) at Carpugnino exit and by the close train station.(10 min. walk)
The nearest airport is Milan-Malpensa, about 40 km. from the accomodation. (from April to October there is the service of Alibus: a shuttle service that connects with the Airport Milan- Malpensa Stresa)
How to find us
We are a short distance on foot from the boat station, walking in direction towards the Gigi Bar (historical bar in Stresa), entering small side street by the bar, few meters further on you come to the church of the San Michele.
We are at the beginning of the little road by the old church where you’ll see an orange building and the sign “Al San Michele”.
Rooms
Al San Michele has 4 rooms which are 1 on ground floor, 2 on the first floor and 1 room on the second floor without lift. All the rooms are decorated in a modern and elegant style offering every comfort. Each room is complete with free Wifi connection, air conditioning, private bathroom equipped with hairdryer and courtesy items. A minibar and kettle with herbal infusions are available. Some rooms have a small balcony and/or a private terrace where you can relax.
Our guest house offers just overnight stay, but a short distance on foot, facing the lake, you will find more than one tea room you can enjoy an excellent sweet or savory breakfast.
The price of the rooms does not include breakfast.
